The selection, interview panel and NSA committee reserve the right to:
- use discretion when assessing the sport / age / performance level of the applicant
- to take into consideration what degree of funding the applicants may already be receiving
- to try and support a wide range of athletes and sports (to ensure this breadth is achieved through its selection process and allocation of places to the NSA)
- to allocate any additional funding remaining within the scheme to cases of special merit, whether they be existing NSA or other athletes
